Job Description:Our client located in Providence, RI is looking for a Programmer/Analyst to join their team. The Programmer/Analyst will be working with SQL server, PowerApps, and Reporting via SAP business objects and/or Crystal Reports; and to do related work as required.

Responsibilities

To direct system development and maintenance activities including systems analysis, systems design, and programming for large applications or related groups of smaller applicationsTo effectively utilize systems development resources in meeting the information systems goals and plans of the organizationTo coordinate the planning, testing and operation phases of automated systemsTo oversee the operation of entrusted automated systems assuring timeliness and accuracy of productsTo recommend and implement modifications of systems through revisions to methods of operations with equipment, computer programs and personnel to meet economy of systems objectivesTo promote the use of the computer and of data networks by identifying new and potential users and application areas; to establish schedules and priorities for systems development projects and support services; to assist in coordinating production schedulesTo evaluate applications softwareTo develop, disseminate and ensure adherence to systems design and programming standards; to advise and make recommendations to superiors on matters relating to systems developmentTo coordinate the development of documentation according to established standardsTo deal directly with contractual providers of data processing and related servicesRequired

College Degree in IT or relatedExperience working in a position responsible for programming, reporting, data analysis, systems development functions involving one or more pertinent application specialtiesMinimum of 5-10 years of knowledge and experience of the Software Development Life Cycle, preferably in an Agile environment, utilizing development, testing and production environmentsMinimum of 5-10 years intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience Microsoft Web Server concepts and IIS setup and configuration managementMinimum of 2-3 years intermediate knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and developing SQL queries utilizing SQL ServerMinimum of 2-3 years intermediate to expert knowledge and hands-on experience with data conversion, migration, integration, and ETLKnowledge and experience with Business Objects desirableKnowledge and experience with developing/analyzing reports in SAP Business Objects preferredKnowledge and experience with developing/analyzing reports in Crystal Reports desirableKnowledge and experience with Python or equivalent programming language desirableWorking knowledge and usage of Microsoft collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePointMicrosoft Dynamics 365 / Power Apps development experience highly desirableBusiness analysis and documentation experienceExperience with user setup and maintenanceTechnical expertise in understanding of project workflowsSelf-starter work ethic who can adapt at providing exceptional results with limited supervisionStrong business-to-technology translation skills are essential for identifying ways to apply solutions to help clients increase business value and performance
