For Children and Adolescent population, our facility provides individualized, behavioral programming based on both cognitive functioning and psychiatric needs. Two distinct treatment programs, the Acute Psychiatric Unit and the Intensive Behavioral Unit, provide treatment for over 40 children and adolescents. Our psychiatric and substance related disorder services for children, adolescents, and young adults include: a 15-bed Inpatient Hospitalization unit, Partial Hospitalization as a step-down from our inpatient treatment, and a 12-bed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility.Our beautiful setting, in rural southern New Hampshire, is the perfect place to begin the healing process. Located on 100 acres of rolling hills, woodlands and landscaped grounds, Hampstead Hospital and Residential Treatment Facility is less than one hour from Boston and the Seacoast.
