Patient Services Specialist

Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking for a full-time Patient Services Specialist in Rockland County. This position is full time, 5 days a week, with one weekend day required.

Serve as the liaison between patients, families and our current staff, including disseminating information gathered to the appropriate department and Administrator, to ensure our patients feedback and concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
Develop, in conjunction with Administrator and other Department Heads, policies and procedures to improve processes that will enhance the experiences of our patients and our staff.

Support facility with prospective patient tours, preparing rooms for new admissions and providing gifts for new admissions.
Perform required programming, including but not limited to, coordinating snack cart/magazine cart, patient rounds, outreach to patient families and other programming as assigned.
Complete required reporting, including but not limited to, patient evaluations, weekly reports and other reporting as assigned.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Administrator or designee.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from high school or completion of a GED program is required. Advanced collegiate degree is preferred.
Experience: Experience in customer service is required. Experience in healthcare, hospitality or any other service industry is strongly preferred.
Job Knowledge: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products or Google Docs required, other computer programs, including electronic medical records, preferred.
Other: Leadership skills in decision making, problem solving skills, and interpersonal relations.
