The Senior Analyst Finance will work with Quantum and TRAX Systems, along with bank portals to perform cash positioning activities and make payments across domestic and international banks for and on behalf of Delta and its subsidiaries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This includes managing Delta's daily cash requirements to ensure adequate funding of bank accounts to cover needs for AP wires, ACH and check payment files, payroll, debt and lease payments, and subsidiary and international account funding. This is done while ensuring Delta does not exceed intra-day credit limits with our operational banks. Also, the subject will execute adhoc requests from various groups throughout Delta to research and validate payments and receipts, while completing prior day bank account reconciliation.
  • Responsible for managing investments of cash reserves for Delta and its subsidiaries, with relationship banks, in accordance with corporate policy to achieve principal perservation with the highest yield possible based on management's direction. Participate in periodic performance reviews and updates of the investment policy.
  • Work closely with the banks to resolve discrepancies and produce monthly variance reports for bank fees.
  • Responsible for processing monthly, quarterly and yearly invoices from Delta vendors utilizing InvoiceWorks.
  • Oversee high dollar transactions and/or critical transactions impacting various Delta business units resulting in high visibility with Delta and Treasury senior management.
  • Oversee the management of bank portal, users, and entitlements.
  • In addition to the above, this individual will support non-automated Treasury accounting activity including monthly financial close and reconciliations. Areas covered include all debt, letters of credit, restricted cash, intercompany loans, foreign repatriations/funding, unapplied receipts, and depository concentration.
  • Support automated Treasury accounting activity related to cash investments, transfers between bank accounts, and transactions generated by domestic and international electronic bank statement processing.
  • Prepare analysis each month supporting the reclassification of outstanding checks/ACHs to appropriate liability account.
  • Monitor various Treasury's shared mailboxes.
  • Performs special projects to improve Treasury cash operations processes.
  • Practices safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety & well-being

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • Corporate Treasury or Banking related work experience
  • A good understanding of accounting concepts and their application as well as experience using SAP General Ledger System and a Treasury Management System
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization/analysis tools
  • Must be proficient in the use of PC software including EXCEL, WORD, and MS Outlook. Requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and communication skills.
  • Should be detail oriented, able to work in a demanding, fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and execute assigned tasks in a complete and timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with individuals outside the department and outside the Company.
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
