The position interfaces with other discipline project leads, client engineering and construction managers, surveying and geotechnical engineering vendors, equipment and structure vendors. Duties & Responsibilities Work with project team to create or modify all civil and structural design documents. Develop steel and foundation detail drawings. Apply engineering application software for the design of structural steel and foundations. Use project specific standards and ensure that the design efforts are progressing efficiently. Perform engineering and design functions to meet project schedules. Communicate and coordinate project activities with stakeholders. Ensure correct application of engineering standards. Properly use the document management system. Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work. Travel out of town for short periods as required. Other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications / Experience Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Must be a licensed professional engineer or able to obtain licensure within one year. Minimum three years of experience in concrete and steel structural engineering. Experience in the electric utility industry preferred. Possess skills in: Design of cantilevered utility structures, towers, and masonry buildings. Steel and concrete design, structural analysis. Experience with engineering software like RISA 3D, PLS-Tower, or STAAD Pro. Knowledge of engineering standards including NESC, ASCE, IBC, AISC, and ACI. Understanding of civil and structural design documents. Proficiency in common software applications. Working in a team environment and effective communication. Physical Requirements: Minimal physical effort but prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. Indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure. Travel required (10%), occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. May need to work extended hours including weekends. Reasonable accommodations available. #J-18808-Ljbffr
