Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures. Responsibilities: Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician Follows radiation safety techniques when disposing radioactive materials Performs a variety of tasks Typically reports to chief technologist or manager Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine or successful completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program preferred Current Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within one year of hire PET/CT experience preferred Working Conditions: Must be able to maintain a standing position Typical equipment used in a clinical job Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment About Kootenai Health Kootenai Health is a highly esteemed health care organization, serving patients throughout northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest.
