THERAPY 2000, a home-based provider of pediatric Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services, has an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to serve families in East Austin/Del Valle, Texas. This Part-Time or Full-Timeposition is based in our Austindivision.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those who are bilingual. While this adds a layer of complexity, it also enriches your experience and allows you to develop valuable skills in cross-cultural communication. We offer resources and support to help you navigate these interactions effectively. If you're eager to embrace this aspect of the role, you'll find it to be a rewarding and growth-oriented experience.
What youll do:
-Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients needs for therapy.
-Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians orders.
-Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients caregivers.
-Act as a vital member of your patients medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
-Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
-Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
-Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
-Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
-Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.
What youll need:
-A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.
-An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
-Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
-Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).
Bonus points for:
-3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist
-Experience in a home-health setting.
-Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)
-Bilingual (English/Spanish)
