Material Handler

Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, responsible, and efficient handling, processing, and packaging of QC/Verdesian Life Sciences LLC's products at the manufacturing site.The Material Handler must be capable of understanding equipment operations, labeling and packaging types, forklift operations, and general housekeeping rules.Essential Responsibilities:Read & understand written instructions on product types, labeling requirements, and storage locations. Operate the following equipment; 50 lb bagger, Super Sak bagging equipment, forklift, coating drums, palletizer, and loading hopper.Completes daily operational documentation.Keep accurate count of completed products and raw material & supply usage.Able to lift 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment.Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of processing areas; includes hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments.Distributes documentation, including transfer of all original documents, to production supervisor for records.Ability to be fit tested and don a maskMaintain a clean and safe working environmentOther duties as assigned by supervisorCriteria:Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and confidencePerform role of a team player by motivating and inspiring others to perform well, while displaying passion and optimism regarding the businessExhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all timesExercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating proceduresDemonstrate leadership skills in driving change and improving the integrity of applicable processes and systemsExtend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customersExceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detailAll positions start at $16.50 per hour or more based on skills and experience.Positions also include an excellent benefits package that starts the first of the month following the date of hire, which includes paid health benefit options, generous employer 401k match, paid time off, paid holidays, paid uniform services, and career advancement opportunities.
