Electrical Engineer

Description:

+ Hold responsibility for the preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications

+ Attend client meetings, lead the coordination effort between external and internal project teams

+ Develop client relationships

+ Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction

+ Participate in calculations and equipment selection, utilizing advanced understanding of the application of building codes and electrical industry standards

+ Perform site visits and issues reports

+ Develop project workplans, tasks and assignments for the team

+ Provide updates to master specifications and standards, and improve company processes

+ Collaborate closely with design teams, Engineers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to address specific objectives, complex features, and propose viable solutions to unique challenges.

+ Facilitate seamless coordination among various design disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Architectural, etc.) to fulfill design package requirements.

+ Conduct field verifications and site assessments to identify, verify, resolve, and integrate solutions into design packages, troubleshooting design issues during construction as necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

+ Relevant professional credential (EIT or PE)

+ Electrical work experience specific to the AEC/ Built environment industry

+ Proficiency in electrical system distribution, lighting and power system design

+ Thorough understanding of interdisciplinary coordination

+ Advanced understanding of electrical engineering concepts, able to effectively communicate design options

+ Able to assemble and run a team

+ Strong delegation skills
