Linux Systems Engineer

A global quantitative trading firm is looking for an experienced systems engineer to join their expanding infrastructure team.
We're seeking a candidate with experience managing large-scale Linux systems who thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment and is ready to make a substantial impact.
This role will be part of a team that oversees all computing infrastructure, from high-speed trading systems executing trades globally to large scale computing clusters used for quantitative research. This is a unique opportunity to work across all areas of the business and make a significant impact at a leading financial technology firm, pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies for enhancing the performance, flexibility, and maintainability of Linux-based systems, covering hardware, network, and operating systems. Oversee and optimize trading infrastructure on a global scale including automating and resolving various technical infrastructure challenges. Manage system installations, upgrades, and enhancements and deploy, configure, and both internal and external applications.
Requirements:
Proficiency in Linux system administration, including hardware, network, and operating systems, and understanding of Linux systems internals, kernel configuration and tuning.
Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, SaltStack, or Chef
Command of scripting languages such as Python or Shell
