Essential Functions:

•Perform testing of multi-featured, fixed wireless access, home internet gateway products to include 5G and 4G/LTE functionalities.

•Thoroughly document software issues discovered, including appropriate technical details, logs, etc.

•Review product requirements, functional specifications, standards documents, and customer specifications to design test strategy for software validation

•Create test plans and test cases for new products and features, including incremental features based on customer requirements or industry requirements

•Assist with product qualification and post sales issues that could impact the business

•Support customers onsite during issues investigation in conjunction with R&D to determine root cause

•Simulate customer reported issues or new test environments in labs

•Communicate regularly with key customers to manage expectations regarding hardware, software, and other project deliverables

•Create test reports, dashboards, and status reports for management presentation

•Contribute to product design discussions on overall software feature/interop compatibility across different platforms

Required Education and Experience:

•Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (electrical/computer engineering, computer science)

•Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent) with telecommunications products and technologies

•Knowledge of 5G and 4G/LTE protocols and system architectures

•Experience in testing 5G and 4G/LTE CPE devices (preferably Fixed Wireless Access router/gateways)

•Understanding of various mobile scenarios and use cases such as ENDC, CA, NSA, SA, VoLTE, handovers, etc.

•Ability to translate customers' 4G/LTE/5G requirements into test cases and test plans and execute those tests in a lab environment

•Familiarity with 5G/4G/LTE test tools such as Amarisoft Callbox

•Familiarity with traffic generators such as Spirent Test Center, IxChariot, iPerf, etc.

•Familiarity with general test tools such as Wireshark, configuration editors, etc.

•Familiarity with test management and collaboration tools including JIRA, Confluence, etc.

•Knowledge of IP networking protocols (IPv4, IPv6, SNMP, STP, DHCP, TFTP, FTP, TCP, UDP)

•Knowledge of Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 6E including wireless encryption (WPA2/WPA3, WPA, WEP), WPS, DFS, and WMM

•Knowledge of embedded operating systems (OpenWRT, Linux, etc.)

•Debugging skills with telecommunications CPE devices such as home router/gateways

•Strong communication, collaboration, and team working skills

•Some business travel may be required, both domestic and international

Preferred Experience:

•Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent) with telecommunications products and technologies

•Knowledge of DOCSIS and fiber specifications, protocols, test procedures, and debugging

•Knowledge of Packet Cable 1.5 and 2.0 specifications, protocols, test procedures, and debugging

•Knowledge of VoIP system architectures and network elements

•Familiarity with VoIP test equipment such as Asterisk PBX, Ameritec, etc.

•Knowledge of Home Networking Protocols (HNAP, uPNP, RIPv2, TR69, MOCA, etc.)

•Knowledge of WiFi testing to include interoperability, performance, RvR, and stability

•Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) Development Methodology

•Experience in Python, TCL, shell scripting

•Experience working with large telecommunications service providers

•Cisco CCNA certification
