If this statement resonates with you, don't be so hard on yourself - apply for the job Stormwater/Water Resources Project Engineer We are looking for a Stormwater Project Engineer with experience successfully delivering a broad range of stormwater projects to support design of Transportation Projects in our Florida Division. Responsibilities will include the design and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for transportation projects including hydrology and hydraulic analysis related to culvert sizing, open channel design, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, storm sewer infrastructure design, and floodplain analysis. In this role you will contribute to a collaborative team environment. The desired candidate will supplement the design efforts of the civil/transportation group and structural design group. Location This position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from our Jacksonville, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale or Miami office. The Impact You Will Have Perform hydraulic and hydrology (H&H) analyses and design for transportation projects Prepare drainage reports in conformance with client and industry standards Assist with plan production related to drainage design, stormwater management and detention facilities, water quality/MS4, quantities and specifications Contribute to project goals and milestones and monitor project progress Assist in preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, studies, reports, construction drawings/plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of stormwater design and planning projects Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking Assist with project pursuits What You Will Need Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required 4-9 years of transportation drainage experience PE License preferred A history of progressive responsibility in transportation/roadway drainage design Excellent communication skills, verbal and written A track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to prioritize, work on, and advance multiple projects simultaneously Thorough understanding of state, regional, and special district design standards (preferred) Experience developing stormwater management plans and water quality design/MS4 (preferred) Experience with plan production related to transportation projects (preferred) Experience developing deliverables per FDOT standards and requirements (preferred) Explore the Benefits of Working at Benesch At Benesch, we prioritize the health and wellness of our employees, understanding that their well-being is crucial for both personal and professional success.
