Chewy Pharmacist Lead - TOBYHANNA, Pennsylvania Chewy is seeking a Pharmacist In Charge to serve our 'online neighborhood pharmacy' in Pennsylvania. Our facility is fully dedicated to serving the needs of online pet parents and helping them get what their veterinarian wants them to give their pets. As a Pharmacist in Charge for Chewy, you will lead a team of top professionals committed to providing outstanding care and wellness services for pet parents and their pets. In this role, you will be an integral leader of the pharmacy team and a partner in the overall Chewy e-commerce fulfillment network. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead, foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and incredible customer service. What you’ll do: Direct daily operations of the e-commerce pharmacy of our Pharmacy Fulfillment Center Ensure adherence to facility SOPs and compliance with applicable law Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and interns Assist with investigations, documentation, and completion of Adverse Drug Event forms Work with the training team Support compliance Keep senior leadership fully informed of operating issues and results Write operational and production SOPs Represent the facility on the Pharmacy Compliance Committee Support order verification within the computer order processing queue to ensure facility and product accuracy Ensure safe work environments, enforce operational discipline, and monitor aseptic behaviors Work with Legal and Compliance to maintain all applicable licenses Maintain all necessary records established by local, state, and federal agencies Efficiently perform all professional duties including, but not limited to, the safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution, and control of all prescription medications and products, ensuring the overall safety and security of the pharmacy Be responsible for the interpretation and verification of medication orders and review prescriber medication orders to identify possible dosing, scheduling, contraindication, allergy, drug interaction, and/or incompatibility problems Communicate with Veterinarians and their staff and Pet Parents as required Oversee nonsterile compounding operation and work with Head Compounding Pharmacist (HCP) and staff to maintain compliance with USP standards Ensure production goals are created, tracked, and met Identify trends or issues delaying batch production or causing batches to be canceled Must have knowledge of basic principles, theories, laws, policies, and procedures that pertain to compounding In collaboration with HCP, act as Supervisory Compounding Pharmacist to Complete sufficient training to allow for supervision of all compounding activities Complete and keep on file an up-to-date compounding pharmacist personnel file Oversee Performance Improvement Programs Uphold operational standards including performance metrics, safety, and compliance Perform all related duties and assignments as required for an e-commerce pharmacy Focus on customer satisfaction, ensure Chewy provides superior service using best practices and prompt engagement What you’ll need: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Pharmacy Must have an active pharmacy license in the state of Pennsylvania in good standing (required), with additional licenses in various states or the ability to achieve licensing within a specific time frame Willingness to gain any additional license as required Strong customer services and attention to detail Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Ability to work a variety of schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends #J-18808-Ljbffr
