Join Our Team as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Klarrio Klarrio is working daily on very cool and challenging data projects. When these projects are put into production and are running mission-critical workloads, someone needs to monitor and safeguard the platform. A combination of problem-solving and platform expertise is required. Technology evolutions are allowing us to predictively act before damage is done. A Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Klarrio has the right mix of development, support, and problem-solving skills. Klarrio operates with a follow-the-sun principle by having SRE’s in multiple continents, avoiding the need to do shifts. In a day and age where minutes of downtime can result in millions of financial losses, Klarrio’s SRE’s make sure platforms operate the way they should and downtime is always minimized.

We at Klarrio, are looking for engineers to take a crucial role in creating, maintaining, and supporting reliable production platforms. You will be working on a wide range of projects in various domains such as Smart Cities, Transport & Logistics, Telecom, Innovative Technology Solution Providers, and Public Infrastructure. You will be part of a team that focuses on measuring and monitoring the availability, latency, and overall system health and performance. You will also be evolving systems by continually improving the monitoring stack by implementing the latest state-of-the-art technology that improves reliability and availability. If something goes wrong you will be instrumental in incident response and blameless postmortems. The development and support of these platforms require a multidisciplinary team consisting of developers who are not afraid to take initiative and have an eye for quality. Klarrio will strive to make sure that your deliverables are in line with your interests and your skillset. We are looking for IT professionals with a drive for getting things done with a willingness to help others be successful in their job and a knack for always being a step ahead. You are a naturally collaborative person and eager to propose creative solutions to challenging problems.

As a software engineer, ideally you possess the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience, in Computer Science or a related technical field involving software/systems engineering.

Programming experience in either Python, Java, Scala, Go, or C.

Knowledge of computer networking (TCP/IP, Firewalls, DNS, SSL, …)

Understanding of Operating System concepts

Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems

Extra assets are:

Ability to debug code and automate routine tasks

Knowledge in deploying and using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack … or other logging, monitoring, and alerting tools is a plus

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, …

Hands-on experience with shell scripting

Affinity with the Agile development methodology
