Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Zekelman Industries is searching for a Human Resources Generalist to work for our Z Modular Division. This person will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless implementation of personnel policies, programs and procedures. Your role will involve collaborating with employees, peers and management to uphold our company's standards and cultivate a positive work culture.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Evaluate and interpret personnel policies, programs, and procedures for both employees and management personnel.
    • Execute professional-level human resources tasks across various functional areas, including staffing, employee relations, compensation, training, employment, safety, and personnel research.
    • Manage administrative tasks related to human resources functions and maintain accurate records.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all HR programs.
    • Analyze and provide guidance to supervisors and managers on resolving employee work-related issues.
    • Deliver presentations to clarify HR policies and foster compliance and understanding among stakeholders.
    • Conduct research to assess the effectiveness of personnel programs and policies.
    • Propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to enhance the efficiency of HR and operational processes.
    • Provide leadership or professional guidance to lower-level support and clerical personnel.
    • Implement and evaluate revised human resources policies.
    • Offer additional HR services as required.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Proven experience in human resources functions, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry.
    • Strong understanding of construction lor manufacturing and related HR challenges.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in HR software (ADP or Workday Preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
