Position Overview:

As a Senior Database Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, optimize database performance, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in T-SQL scripting, Microsoft SQL Server technologies, and a strong background in data warehousing and reporting.

Responsibilities: Develop and implement T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and data migration processes for data warehousing. Utilize SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) to build comprehensive reporting solutions. Review and analyze business reporting and application requirements, and research necessary data sources. Design and optimize database schemas, dictionaries, indexes, and tables for maximum performance and scalability. Analyze and optimize existing SQL queries for improved efficiency and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between database solutions and business objectives. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in database engineering and data management.

Requirements: Excellent understanding of T-SQL scripting and Microsoft SQL Server technologies. Strong proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). Proven experience developing and optimizing T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions. Solid understanding of database design principles, including normalization, indexing, and partitioning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS) is a plus. Relevant certifications

(e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are desirable but not required.
