This Compliance Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring product compliance with various material and safety standards, including REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, CE, and UKCA. Acting as the primary liaison to compliance partners, this position coordinates efforts to obtain and uphold compliance requirements. Collaborating across departments, the Compliance Engineer ensures adherence to standards, communicates with external stakeholders regarding compliance, and maintains comprehensive documentation for accessibility and revision control. Additionally, this role supports the recertification of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025, reporting directly to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

Manage data and document maintenance. Support compliance with national and international material and safety standards, laws, and regulations. Assist in data gathering and management for Material and Safety Compliance. Utilize reporting software databases to interpret regulations effectively. Coordinate and resolve customer compliance requests related to regulatory standards. Evaluate existing processes and develop systematic approaches for long-term sustainability. Conduct training within the organization on regulatory compliance. Execute various forms, reports, and disclosures, maintaining a repository of documentation. Support recertification efforts for ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree in a technical engineering or related field is required. Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively amid changing priorities. Excellent communication skills with both customers and internal stakeholders. Initiative-driven, self-starter, and eager to learn. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases such as Access and ERP. Experience in Quality and Compliance is preferred.
