General Description:

The Philanthropy Director is a full-time (40 hours) salaried, in-person position with responsibility to oversee the generation of investment and philanthropic funds for The Family Place Utah. This is an at-will position who works closely with and reports to the Executive Director.

The Philanthropy Director helps execute the mission statement and, in collaboration with the Executive Director, guides The Family Place Utah to achieve its monetary charitable goals. This position is responsible for budget strategies as it relates to financial donations, cultivating donors, and developing outreach strategies. ThePhilanthropy Directormustbuild and cultivate meaningfuland mutually beneficialrelationshipsbased on trust on behalf of TheFamily PlaceUtah. Thisposition will bring newinsightsinto workingwithpotentialpartners,financial institutions, corporations, wealth advisors, etc. thatrepresent clients whoseek tobetteralign their investmentwiththeirvalues.

Duties Synopsis:

The Philanthropy Director will help support the strategic initiatives of The Family Place Utah and help fulfill the organization's capital, operational, and programmatic needs by achieving donation goals.

The Philanthropy Director is responsible for relations with investors and donors, cultivating relationships for the advancement of the mission of The Family Place Utah and sustainability through fundraising with their portfolio of donors.

Donation Goals Achievement

Budget objective(s) for annual program and operations from fundraising with donors

Budget objective(s) for the Endowment Fund towards TFPU long-term sustainability

Monthly donor cultivation goals

Minimum Qualifications:

1) A passion for the mission of The Family Place Utah.

2) Proven track-record building and maintaining relationships and obtaining large donations.

3) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

4) Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people.

5) Bachelor's degree and seven or more years of senior-level management and leadership experience in nonprofit fundraising.
