Description

Join our Inventory Team Bernick's is looking for an Order and Inventory Specialist to assist our growing needs. Qualified candidates are very detail orientated, and possess the ability to accurately monitor, control, and coordinate inventory, as well as, investigate count discrepancies.

Order and Inventory Specialists primary focus is to manage the flow of assigned goods and inventory cycle counting. Based on usage and demand, they must determine what goods need to be ordered. Order and Inventory Specialists prepare documentation of purchase orders, invoices, and cycle counts, as well as, provide data entry transactions and adjustments.

Order and Inventory Specialists analyze, identify, recommend, and implement inventory strategies and management techniques to reduce inventory, while maintaining appropriate service levels. Advanced analytical ability to handle complex details and reports is required.

Our Inventory Team collaborates with various departments across the organization to reconcile needs including Sales, Distribution, Warehouse, Service, IT and Finance. A high level of communication is necessary with suppliers, vendors, and brokers to ensure proper product flow.

Order and Inventory Specialist:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, and/or related field
  • 5+ years of Inventory Management experience required
  • Prior knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, Inventory, and Cycle Counting modules
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified is required
Strong Candidates must have:
  • Experience with inventory flow in a manufacturing, production, or distribution setting
  • Background in Procurement, Purchasing, Production Planning, and/or Inventory Control
  • Certification and/or interest in becoming APICS or CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals) certified
Hours of this position: Full-Time (40-45 hours per week)
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
