Buyer

Position title Buyer Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Purchasing Team.

This position will purchase, as required, items needed to support the production and activities of the Company

Responsibilities -Establish and negotiate contract pricing where applicable to ensure product and service availability.

-Obtain quotes and bids in support of internal customer needs, including international requirements.

-Obtain supplies, raw materials and services at the highest quality, most competitive pricing.

-Search out, cultivate and maintain relations with suppliers who can provide quality products, technical support and competitive pricing.

-Perform cost reduction analysis on purchases where applicable.

-Resolve receiving, inspection and accounting issues with suppliers and internal customers.

-7 years + a degree or equivalent experience (10 years work experience).

-Biotech experience preferred with 2 years of experience in purchasing and sourcing overseas.

-CPIM, CSCP or CPM certification not required but preferred.

-High degree of professionalism with the ability to be a high energy, passionate champion for the company.

-Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is required.
