Overview: The role provides leadership and oversight to a team of about 20 developers, software engineers, and QA resources as part of a major transformation effort related to supply chains, with offshore and onshore resources.

What you’ll do: · Work with the Architects and product owners to understand business and technical requirements, architecture patterns, and lead the team to ensure completeness of technical designs. Guide development and QA teams, to deliver with quality and adhere to best practices for application development. · Contribute to the development and management of enterprise level data governance policies. · Advise and educate team members and project stakeholders on best practices, tools, and process improvements related to APIs · Oversee implementation and operation of API infrastructure components to meet requirements. · Oversee the creation of testing plans and timelines for testing, automation, and performance. · Ensure any dependencies, clarifications are promptly communicated and resolved · Remove blockers and enable development to deliver on commitments · Represent development in planning, helping determine feasible options, and providing input on impacts across all development workstreams. · Partner with Architecture teams to ensure a smooth flow of work items between architecture and development · Provide inputs to resource availability, and work assignment to optimize productivity. · Learn the nuances of working with an IBM I backend.

What you bring: · Strong technical experience in application and system design and delivery for complex systems supporting supply chains. · 10+ years of overall and 5+ years of software development experience in a relevant context, e.g. ReactJS, NodeJS · Significant system integration experience using REST APIs and event-based messaging. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a high degree of initiative. · Experience in application development with JavaScript, Typescript, NodeJS, ReactJS. · Experience working in Agile and hybrid agile environments. · A solid understanding of logical and physical database designs and data modelling · A firm grasp of software development best practices, tools, and technologies · Ability to anticipate future needs and design with reusability in mind. · Communication and collaboration skills to be able to work with both business and technical stakeholders. · Previous experience in offshore / onshore delivery highly desirable · Strong data and process modelling experience using UML · Strong understanding of all aspects of the API lifecycle · Strong understanding of all aspects of CI/CD
