Accounts Payable Specialist - Lewisville, TX Remote Opportunity, must be within driving distance to office in Lewisville 1st Source, a Tech-24 subsidiary, is a nationwide maintenance and repair company headquartered in Greenville, SC. Tech-24 offers complete food service equipment repair and maintenance services for full-service restaurants, QSRs, convenience stores and retailers, coffee shops and concessions operations. The Accounts Payable Specialist is the key player in the Accounts Payable department and is responsible for managing the vendor AP aging and vendor relations. The specialist should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both paper and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management. The specialist should have the ability to know when to enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process. Responsibilities Enter subcontractor, parts, and expense invoices into Global Edge software program. Reconcile and balance vendor accounts. Prepares checks to be mailed. Monitor and manage all vendor accounts, ensuring timely payments. Provide management with regular reporting regarding the health of the vendor portfolio. Contact vendors when necessary to resolve any statement discrepancies. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years of Accounts Payable experience Must have good mathematical skills and reasoning ability. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High degree of independence and ability to take initiative. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; Experience using Global Edge (by Davisware) is preferred. Ability to comprehend and manage processes that track customer records. Ability to maintain all information in a highly confidential and organized manner.
