Warehouse Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including the supply of pulp, pulp substitutes, and chemicals for use in the paper mill. They will also supervise the stock prep and receiving functions, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all warehouse activities related to paper mill operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials.

Ensure timely supply of pulp, pulp substitutes, chemicals, and other materials for production.

Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct regular counts to monitor stock levels.

Implement safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and coordinate material requirements.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in paper mill safety and process improvement committees.

Interview prospective candidates and coordinate with management on performance evaluations.

Participate in process improvement efforts and contribute to employee training programs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred.

2-5 years of warehouse experience in a paper mill or similar industry

Supervisory experience preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
