Locum Tenens Psychiatrist position in Perth Amboy area Hospital in New Brunswick/Perth Amboy, NJ area seeking Inpatient Psychiatrist for Locum Tenens assignment Call me today Immediate need Job description includes: Timely provision of psychiatric care to assigned patients and participation in hospital educational activities. This position will have responsibility to provide psychiatric care to the patients admitted to 10 bed involuntary inpatient unit and consultation-liaison service. The psychiatrist will provide psychiatric consultation service to medical/surgical floors. The requirement is to see the consults within 24 hours of being called except in the cases urgent consultation is requested. Participation in psychiatric on call schedule. 1:5 at present. Participation in staff development program as requested by department chair, to educate hospital staff regarding management of psychiatric illnesses. Participation in medical grand rounds and psychiatric training of internal medicine residents as requested by department chair. Board Certified preferred, but not required.
