The PACE model is centered on the belief that it is better for the well-being of seniors with chronic care needs and their families to be served in their community whenever possible. Seniors, their family members, and caregivers face many issues, including transportation to appointments, management of medications, coordination of medical care from different specialists, lack of social interaction, and ability to stay alone at home. On Lok PACE participants receive in-home care services and transportation to a On Lok PACE center for primary medical care, social and recreational activities, and other senior care services. Join our team of leaders to begin a rewarding career POSITION SUMMARY : Under the direction and supervision of the Janitorial Supervisor, the janitor position provides the cleaning and disinfection of all assigned areas in On Lok buildings. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs. Clean, sanitize, and disinfect bathrooms. Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms. Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Empty all trashcans and replace liners as needed; clean receptacles as necessary. Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Cleaning windowsills and windows. Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition. Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals. Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times. General maintenance of grounds. All other reasonably related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, abilities): High School Diploma or GED. Six (6) months or more of related experience. Ability to work within the framework of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English. Basic knowledge of cleaning products and techniques. The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed.
