“to be the preferred choice in our field by adding value to our business partners without compromise to quality, safety or the environment.” Job Summary: O’Rourke Contracting are seeking an experienced site based engineer to join the management team on a live project in Canning Town London. As the Site Engineer you will play a crucial role in the completion of the sites structure including groundworks, drainage, roads, rc walls, car parks and hard landscaping. Duties: – Overseeing the in-house groundworks team – Overseeing specialist sub-contractors – Collaboration with the Project Management team to develop project plans and specifications – Prepare and review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports – Setting out – Take off and prepare material orders – Monitoring construction progress and ensure adherence to programme – Conducting quality control inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards – Provide technical advice and guidance to the Project Management team Experience: – Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry – Proficiency in using CAD and MS Office – Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis – Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If you are a motivated individual with a passion for engineering and a strong attention to detail, we encourage you to apply.
