Job Description

Located in Indianapolis, IN, we are a growing construction company with a strong client base and projects throughout the state of Indiana. We are currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our team. A variety of construction experience is preferred, including Multifamily experience. The first project will be located in Westfield, IN.
Position Roles & Responsibilities Include:

• Project Management: Oversee daily construction activities to ensure they align with the project timeline, budget, and specifications.
• On-site Supervision: Manage all on-site operations, including subcontractors, labor crews, and suppliers.
• Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company policies.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all work performed meets the specified quality standards and the project's design intent.
• Scheduling and Coordination: Develop, update, and maintain daily and weekly work schedules, ensuring the timely completion of tasks.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any on-site issues or delays, escalating concerns to the project manager when necessary.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure everyone is informed of progress and any changes.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily reports, site conditions, inspections, and all other required documentation.
• Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Logistics Management: Organize site logistics, including deliveries, equipment rentals, and workforce allocation.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership to on-site personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Travel: This position requires travel to jobsites located in and around the Indianapolis market. Vehicle gas for project travel is reimbursable

Hard Skills

• 3-5+ years in a supervisory role in construction as a Superintendent or similar
• Understanding of construction methods, blueprints, and project management principles
• Proven ability to lead teams and subcontractors effectively on a construction site
• Proficient in construction management software and project tracking tools
• OSHA 10 certification

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
Work Environment

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. Being on-site for extended hours, sometimes working on weekends or evenings, depending on the project schedule. On-site 5 days per week, inside and outside, There is a trailer on-site at the project locations.
