Teams meet 2-4 times a year in interesting locations worldwide to align on strategy and execution. The company is founder-led, profitable, and growing. We are hiring a Public Cloud Project Manager. This role involves customer relationship management and advocacy for Canonical's technical assets. It is ideal for a technologist passionate about Linux and Project Management. If you have a software affinity, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology, you will thrive at Canonical. Public Cloud Project Managers lead accounts and provide insights for Canonical's key Tier 1 Enterprise Public Cloud accounts. They collaborate with teams from Software Engineering to Senior Executives. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, shaping Statements of Work, overseeing project lifecycles, and ensuring goals are met. Periodic international travel is required, with travel details depending on project needs. Location: This role is remote within the Americas region. Responsibilities include: Delivering programs and projects within schedule, scope, budget, and resources Identifying and mitigating technical and project risks Maintaining strong customer focus and stakeholder engagement Conducting status meetings and business reviews Managing delivery schedules of third-party deliverables Handling cross-organization engineering requests outside existing contracts Advocating Canonical technologies to customers Qualifications: Proven experience in IT Cloud as a project or program manager, Scrum Master, or similar Deep understanding of Linux, open source, and public cloud Software engineering experience Excellent English communication skills Experience managing remote, cross-cultural teams and clients Strong negotiation and influencing skills Bachelor's in STEM Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) Agile Certification (Scrum Master or equivalent) Willingness to travel domestically and internationally What we offer: Distributed work environment with biannual in-person team sprints USD 2,000 annual learning and development budget Annual compensation review and performance bonuses Comprehensive benefits reflecting our values Recognition rewards, holiday leave, parental leave, wellness programs Opportunities for travel and professional growth About Canonical: Canonical pioneers open source solutions, publishing Ubuntu, a key platform for AI, IoT, and cloud.
