Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for the development of processes required to successfully fabricate aerospace engine parts. Essential functions of the position include: Develop manufacturing processes required to successfully fabricate parts based on customer specifications Evaluate and implement manufacturing process improvements Identify and lead problem-solving initiatives related to manufacturing processes and part creation Daily interaction with employees, customers, and suppliers Read and interpret blueprints Use of calipers, micrometers, high stands, and indicators Daily use of computer and various software, including IFS and Unigraphics All other duties as assigned Qualifications for the position include: Prior experience and/or education in the engineering field is required Proficiency with computer aided 2-D and 3-D design of complex 3-dimensional contours Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes that are needed to fabricate products Demonstrated dedication to understanding and applying lean manufacturing principles Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills is preferred Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
