The Enterprise Applications Manager leads a group of Application Developers in the Information Systems department and acts as the face of this team to internal customers. This role maintains the uptime of application and infrastructure services and collaborates with the business to define acceptable service levels and business continuity procedures. This individual collaborates with business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to design and deploy technical solutions and ensure product adoption. As subject matter expert for the technology used within the business unit, this person will evaluate new technologies and help build business cases where appropriate to continuously improve IT solutions and processes.

Responsibilities:

Directly manages developers and provides growth and career development opportunities.

Responsible for software solutions delivered by the team and serves as the technical escalation point for the developers on the team as well as providing leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Software Developers

Ensures all decisions, projects, and process improvements align with the Enterprise Applications team's strategic vision by utilizing strong problem-solving mentality and good judgement, while implementing best practices around code development, application architecture, design, etc.

Manages projects that drive streamlined processes and improved efficiencies through completion.

Establishes and manages relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

Adheres to established project plans and timelines, while regularly communicating with management, key stakeholders, and technical support colleagues about team performance, code delivery, and pertinent issues to deliver a high-quality product.

Reviews code work for accuracy and functionality; conducts root cause analysis and resolves complex technical design issues.

Provide comprehensive support to customers and/or stakeholders; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.

Design and update software database. This includes, but is not limited to: Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes and/or User Interfaces.

Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and or reports as requested

Remains ahead of industry trends, business practices, and processes, within areas of responsibility, to strengthen business partner's application portfolio; Identify and introduce improvements/ideas/new technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness of system performance.

Gains in-depth knowledge of organization and user needs and provide information about capabilities, changes, and technical limitations of software.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology preferred.

5+ years of people management experience

5+ years of software application experience

Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to multitask to balance immediate and long/term priorities preferred.

Effective oral and written communication

Effective at balancing workload across team as well as translating high level strategy to tactical execution.

Ability to identify and/or implement improvement opportunities for increased efficiency (new coding techniques, vendor solutions, common libraries, etc.).

Ability to make strong technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges.
