The Project Controls Specialist works under the guidance of our Project Controls Leadership and in partnership with our Operations Team to provide a single point of contact for Cost and Schedule across a portfolio of projects. This role will include preparation and maintenance of various Project Controls tools including but not limited to Cost and Resource Loaded CPM Schedules, Project Forecast Sheets, and 4 Week Lookahead Reports.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate and maintain project schedules across multiple projects/portfoliosWork with the project team to build initial project schedules that includes high level of detail and sub-schedulesMonitor progress and produce accurate projections of time and costLoad and trend both cost and resources into the project schedulesConduct monthly forecast review meetings across multiple project teamsPerform Quality Assurance on project forecasts across multiple projects/portfoliosRegular travel to project sites to engage with project teams. Expected travel twice monthlyEnsure accurate earned cost/revenue and cost to complete values in project forecast sheetsHold project teams accountable for effectively utilizing project controls tools and track utilization for reporting to Director of Project ControlsAttend, participate, and contribute to cost forecast meetings; take meeting notes, track open points, and manage follow-upsSupport Operations with verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are correctly accounted forIdentify trends and recommend actions based on sound financial and schedule analysisProduce and analyze 4-week lookahead reportsAttend and participate in team meetings both remotely and on the jobsiteDevelop reports to aid and enhance performance of project teamsCreate databases and tools that will provide further insight into CS Energys project portfolioPresent project plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teamsHelp identify and implement cost and schedule process improvementsInteract with subcontractors and clients, as necessaryMinimum of 3 years of experience in EPC project controlsBachelors degree in a technical field from an accredited university or college preferredExperience planning and scheduling with Primavera P6 and Microsoft ProjectExperience with project forecastingEnergy/Power construction markets experience is preferredExperience with Forensic Schedule Analysis is a plusCertification related to Project Management (PMP, PSP, etc.) is a plusAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access/SQL (ability to build databases highly desired) Experience with building PowerBI dashboards is a plusStrategic thinker with a track record for developing innovative solutions to difficult Business problemsDiligent, dedicated and detail orientedDemonstrated ability to deliver while handling large numbers of diverse tasksHigh energy level - self-starterTechnical knowledge of product lines and associated systemsExceptional oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leaderships skillsMust be open to traveling to project sites; expected twice monthly*All applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment must take a pre-employment drug test and receive a negative result as a condition of hire.* An offer of employment is conditioned upon complying with CS Energy's requirements including, but not limited to, signing a separate disclosure and consent form prior to any background check.*Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis*CS Energy does not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters and/or third parties in response to our job postings.
