Hiring a Hybrid Revenue Cycle Specialist in Tukwila, WA

Schedule: M-F 8-5 PM

Location: Tukwila, WA

1 day on-site and the rest of the week remote, flexibility on in-office day of the week

Pay: Between $21-$26/hr depending on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor help desk requests as assigned and respond to internal requests from clinical staff requesting assistance with benefit authorization requests and the need for service and other data and clinical document corrections. Track requests, follow up, and close tickets appropriately. Provide support via email, phone, or in person.
  • Facilitate correction of diagnostic data due to invalid codes or other clinical entry errors that result in billing errors.
  • Assist with new & existing client financial eligibility setup and updates to existing clients' financial eligibility. Verify current eligibility and authorizations in the Provider One system and enter accurate financial data into the electronic health record.
  • Working in the King County Information System Utility application, download Notice of Service Authorization letters that are not deliverable to client addresses as recorded in the KCIS. Forward letters to assigned clinician and facilitate getting current address updated in the AVATAR electronic health record.
  • Enter data for clients on Less Restrictive Orders for treatment received from King County Crisis and Commitment Services. Notify primary clinician and supervisor, providing instructional documents on legal requirements for documentation in the electronic health records. For follow up notifications received from Crisis and Commitment in advance of LRO expiration date, notify primary clinician of pending expiration, providing instructional documents for requesting extension of the LRO.
  • Assist the Revenue Cycle Management Coordinators with resolution of missing data for case rated benefits.
  • Provide coverage for other team members work duties as needed for vacation and sick leave.

Contract Duration: 7 month contract - through the end of the year. Opportunity to become a permanent employee with the client depending on satisfactory completion of assignment.

Must Have Skills:

  • Provider One experience
  • Payment posting experience
  • 3+ years within the Healthcare Revenue Cycle field
