Job Title: Bankruptcy Specialist II - Hybrid Location: Glen Allen, VA
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor loans in Bankruptcy to ensure the debtor is in compliance with the bankruptcy plan and that Mortgages adhere to investor, state, federal and bankruptcy court guidelines/timeframes.
- Work with the Foreclosure, Loss Mitigation, Escrow Analysis, Taxes and the Insurance department communicating the bankruptcy status.
- Ensure Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Payment Change Notices, Post Petition Fees and Costs are prepared by counsel, are accurate and all aspects of the bankruptcy are handled according to investor guidelines and timeframes.
- Act as first point of contact for bankruptcy attorney and customers in bankruptcy.
- Ensure abiding by all state and federal bankruptcy rules/laws.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have at least 3 consecutive years of bankruptcy experience, in all chapters and processes.
- Need experience in preparing motions for release, reconcile loans on MSP, Proof of claims(70 days) for Council, and bankruptcy knowledge.
