The Senior Accountant will be responsible for conducting a variety of value added financial, operational and business process reviews. Additional responsibilities include managing day to day internal audit function, preparing, examining or analyzing accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Assist with the timely completion of all internal audits
    • Prepare audit reports to include clear and concise findings and recommendations for corrections/improvements and enhancing existing controls
    • Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation - this includes analyzing and assessing potential problems and risks and developing recommendations for solutions
    • Ensure general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Assist with monthly close process, including journal entry preparation and review
    • Perform and/or review account reconciliations
    • Evaluate trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variances
    • Support the annual financial audit, as needed
    • Perform other accounting research, as needed
    • Maintain and promote positive interaction with internal and external customers/partners and provide prompt, accurate service
    • Keep superiors informed of progress and of any potential issues that might impede meeting deadlines
    • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur
    • Develop and maintain good communication skills with various levels within the company
Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - CPA a plus
    • 10+ years accounting experience
    • A team player that continues to gain knowledge with a successful track record of meeting deadlines, increasing efficiency, identifying and resolving issues, researching and providing overall accounting support
    • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint required and SAP experience preferred
    • Experience with internal control process
    • Ability to envision and implement process improvements
    • Plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities while maintaining positive attitude
