Supply Chain Coordinator

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Shift: Mon - Friday, day shift

- Associates degree or undergraduate degree in business or science related field is preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
- Purchasing and inventory knowledge required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English & Spanish) in order to interact with both customers and various departments within Avantor.
- Microsoft Excel skills at intermediate level or better. Knowledge of Information Access and ERP Systems required.
- SAP Experience highly desirable.
- 4 years equivalent experience in customer services/purchasing/or account management.
- Spill containment, IATA, DOT, and Hazwoper training a plus.
- GMP and GLP training a plus.
- CPR training and OSHA Right to Know preferred.
- Inside sales experience and cross referencing, skills a plus.
- Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety, security clearances and medical checkups.
- High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures.
- Must be flexible, adaptable, and multi-task oriented.
- Ability to self-manage and self-motivate and be forward thinking.
- Understanding of, and ability to administer Avantor's policies consistently.
- Ability to make sound business decisions with limited consultation with manager
- Forklift Certification a plus.
- Associate degree or undergraduate degree in business or science related field is preferred.
- Act as key team representative for customer service at the site location. Directly fields customer questions as point of contact on product status and provides follow up actions and communications. May require communication with multiple stakeholders and/or vendors to solve supply chain issues and procure ad hoc consumable/chemical orders.
- Be responsible for expert level control and execution within a quality inventory management program (consumables, chemicals, samples, etc.) including accurate inventory control, processing requests leading to inventory movement on and off site and fulfilling customer metric reporting.
- Monitor slow moving and dead inventory.
- Conduct cycle counts, yearly physical inventories, and reporting.
- Provide high level of customer service relative to inventory management.
- Respond to inquiries and billing questions.
- Create purchase orders and bill processing.
- Service vendor expediting and maintenance.
- Mentor less-experienced peers and assist supervisor as needed.
- Coordinate and lead team efforts and performs work related to customer requirements.
- Coaches and motivates team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet / exceed goals and objectives.
- Encourage through mentoring, individual professional growth and team growth.
- Provide management of open order status reports, metrics and department reports, and SOP/SOW maintenance.
- Provide training and development as well as back-up to associates to perform required tasks.
- Create and maintain: SOP's, SOW's, SPI's and KPI's.
- Provide customer reporting and data analysis.
- Acts as a liaison between customer, VWR services and VWR sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$65,600.00 - $109,200.00
Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
