DescriptionWestern Wisconsin Health is looking for a casual Ultrasound Technician that can operate the Ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic imaging studies and performs multiple tasks within the Radiology Department. All of this is done to support the organization's mission while living our values.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms ultrasound procedures including OB/Gyn, abdomen, renal/bladder, carotids, venous doppler, breast, testicular, thyroid, biopsies, drainage procedures, and lower extremity arterial studies;Performs patient care by thoroughly evaluating patient status and changes in physical conditionPerforms ultrasound QAAssists department manager with ultrasound policies and proceduresTransports patients safely and have the physical ability of lifting and repositioning without endangeringSchedules exams, answers phones, processes film, files and keeps accurate recordsParticipates in ultrasound emergency callDemonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; andOther duties as assigned.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSWestern Wisconsin Health expects employees to understand and to incorporate the values of our organization in their day-to-day practice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum qualifications:RDMS certified in a minimum of one disciplineVascular certified with credentials RVS, RVT, RCVT, or ARRT VascularCPR certifiedCurrently working as an Ultrasound Technologist on a regular basisOther qualifications:Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient informationDisplay and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standardsExhibit excellent communication and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical recordsAbility to anticipate, understand, and manage patient expectations and provide consistent delivery of servicesClearly and effectively convey information to patientsAbility to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrentlyAbility to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibilityAbility to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgmentShift Requirements:Casual/call position covering all shifts as needed to include weekends and call.
