About the opportunity:

NetDocuments is seeking a Sr. Manager of Technology Infrastructure. This role will handle day to day operations of the Datacenter Infrastructure team and function as a deputy for the Cloud Operations department executive and Director of Cloud Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience using the best practices and formal training in Cloud and on-premise datacenter operations, people leadership, and progressive experience in one or more SaaS companies.

What your contributions will be:
  • Managing the critical on-premise datacenter part the Cloud Infrastructure team and overseeing all day-to-day operations. This role will eventually fold into full public cloud work.
  • Collaborating with SW Engineering Directors, Cloud Director and Architecture teams, and Incident Management teams to ensure we have a world class operation.
  • Ensure Security and Compliance standards are practiced and are pragmatic.
  • Maintain current BC/DR plans, tests, and evolved to keep pace with the industry and business.
  • Oversee Observability standards, development, and practices for the on-premise part of the Cloud Operation department but in collaboration with defined stakeholders.
  • Oversee Incident Response SMEs per the defined Incident Management process.
  • Build a "trusted partner" identity in the CTO organization, particularly the Director of Cloud Engineering.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers that reflects collaboration with the Cloud Engineering Director to drive a strong professional development program that leads to technical certifications and preparedness for functioning in a future fully public cloud operation.
  • Oversee annual Budget planning and continuous budget oversight of staff and tools used.
  • Implement best practices for vendor management of those services the infrastructure team owns.
What you will bring to the team:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in public cloud engineering or operations position with progressively deeper higher levels of responsibility.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience with demonstrated or formal training in people management approaches and techniques.
  • A strong understanding of technology functions and operations as part of a SaaS company.
  • A demonstrated history of working with automation practices in operations, release automation (Platform Engineering functions) and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in project and change management at multinational company, preferably within an IT or enabling function.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. The ability to address Peer Directors, C-level, and Board members with acumen and gravitas is key.
  • Proven experience of developing a Business Strategy, putting business cases together and financial acumen.
  • Experience with the work and basic concerns associated Audit and Compliance regulations SOC2-T2 and ISO27001.
