CNC Lathe Machinist - 2nd shiftA growing and profitable manufacturer for aerospace parts in Simi Valley is looking to hire a CNC Lathe Machinist. This is a second shift position.The company offers extensive benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401K plan, profit sharing, paid time off and more)Location: Simi ValleySalary: $21.00-29.00/hr (DOE)This is a full time temp-to-hire positionSchedule: 2nd shift(3:30pm - 12am), Mandatory overtime on week days, volunteer weekends. Responsibilities:Set-up, operate, and adjustCNC Lathe machinesWork from drawings and written instructions to create partsMake occasional offsets to programs on CNC machinesResponsible for all phases of part operation set-up to achieve first article acceptancePerform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records.Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce part quality variation.Input data into visual management forms and share results to managementRequirements:At least 3 years experience with operating and set-up on CNC lathes. Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of machined partsAbility to maintain close tolerances (within .0005") of ID's and OD's, roundness, concentricity, squareness.Understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture offsets, and tool offsets.Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds, and tool life for aerospace hard turning or milling.Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blue print and quality requirements.Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs (over 25 lbs with assistance).Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder) per ITAR Regulations.Able to read and interpret CNC programsKnowledge of various metals and measurements used in the machining processCompany rewards and benefits (upon hiring):Cash bonus:$500 (90 days after hiring)$1,000 (6 months after hiring)$2,500 (1 year after hiring)Matching 401K contribution (50% match up to 8% of salary)Profit sharing contribution (3% of quarterly earnings, discretionary)Medical/dental/vision insuranceDisability insurance (short term, long term)Life insuranceAccidental death and dismemberment insuranceFlexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care)Matching gift programPaid 10 vacation days/yearPaid 12 company holidays/yearPaid 5 sick days/year.APPLY NOWCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $21.00 - $29.00
