Highlights: Flexible scheduling Creative working environment Arts education advocacy The Outreach & Media Director has multiple focuses: Community and business outreach: 10-20 hours a week Overseeing a 3-person media team: 5-10 hours a week Recruiting and enrolling students: 5-10 hours a week Outreach: The primary objective is to communicate with existing and prospective partners of Factory Underground Tech, including but not limited to local public and private schools, non-profit organizations, and businesses. Responsibilities include: Prospecting non-profit and corporate partnerships to provide sponsorship and scholarship funding Prospecting potential grant and funding opportunities for student scholarships Writing grant applications Leading fundraising efforts through effective communication strategies that resonate with potential donors Supporting in-house community events Creating collaborations with local businesses and organizations Coordinating public speaking engagements and representing the organization at various events Media Operations: The primary objective is to oversee a team of content creators and event planners as they create both social media and marketing materials, ensuring a coherent school image and branding across various audiences. Responsibilities include: Overseeing the publishing calendar and project deadlines Supporting ad scripting and ad shoot scheduling Conducting data collection and analysis to assess the effectiveness of media campaigns Developing and implementing comprehensive media strategies Overseeing the creation of engaging content across multiple platforms, including social media, websites, and traditional media Admissions: The primary objective is to counsel prospective students through the enrollment process (includes adult, college-replacement age, high school, high school parents). This includes responsibilities shared with school administrators: Giving private studio and school tours Maintaining phone or email contact with prospective students until enrollment Delivering student information to school administrators for billing and documentation Other specific responsibilities: Weekly meetings with studio owners and school administrators Providing a weekly report of enrollment numbers Qualifications: Four years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Required skills and abilities: Motivated and self-directed Strong administrative skills to manage multiple projects efficiently Excellent project management abilities to oversee complex initiatives from inception to completion Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members Communicative, clear speaker with command of language both written, on phone calls, and in person Able to develop and implement systems Passionate about music, the arts, and education Passionate about arts accessibility for people of all backgrounds Ability to collect and analyze data for informed decision-making Willing to identify issues in workflow and work to improve efficiency Comfortable with Google spreadsheets Proven track record in fundraising through effective communication strategies Additional skills and qualifications: Comfortable with Monday.com Media literacy including social media This role is ideal for a dynamic individual who is passionate about music and video education and has a strong background in media strategy.
