As a Loader Operator on our team, you will work in gravel pits or at job sites to excavate, load, or move aggregate and mix using a track or wheel loader. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Safely operates loader to excavate, move, and load earth, rock, gravel and other materials.

* Loads trucks efficiently and uniformly.

* Loads bins, hoppers, asphalt plants and other equipment efficiently and uniformly.

* Keeps load/bucket counts and fills out all appropriate paperwork.

* Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.

* Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.

* Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that machine is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.

* Reports to shop when equipment needs maintenance and repair.

* Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at job site.

* Follows Supervisors instructions closely.

**Skills and Abilities:**

* Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.

* Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.

**Qualifications:**

* MSHA

* OSHA

**Work Environment/Physical Demands:**

* Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 80 pounds.

* Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.

* Work extended hours out of doors in a variety of weather conditions.

* Travel and some Saturday work are required.
