Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Infection Prevention/ Control Nurse-LPN to join our team at Tipton Correctional Center located in Tipton, Missouri.

The Infection Prevention/ Control Nurse is responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The Infection Control Nurse will coordinate the collecting, interpreting, and reporting of data, assist in the development of care plans for patients with infectious diseases, and will serve as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.

Full Time Day shift-40 hours per week

Qualifications

  • Must hold valid LPN license in the state of Missouri, CIC (certification in infection control) preferred
  • 1 to 3 years' experience providing nursing care in a public health environment, long term care or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
  • Must show current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification
  • Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
  • Experience in correctional environment preferred
  • Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
