Job Purpose:
Our Store and Distribution team is seeking a Safety Manager to join and cover all facilities, including the warehouse. The Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, conducting risk assessments, providing training and guidance to staff, and investigating and reporting any incidents or accidents.
Key Job Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
· Conduct regular inspections and audits of the warehouse facilities and equipment to identify and eliminate potential hazards.
· Provide employees with training and guidance on best practices for health and safety, emergency preparedness, and the use of personal protective equipment.
· Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
· Ensure that incidents and accidents in the warehouse are investigated and reported, and corrective actions are recommended.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety activities, inspections, incidents, and training records.
· Collaborate with external agencies and authorities regarding health and safety, including inspections, audits, and certifications.
· Stay updated on health and safety trends, technologies, and regulations.
Requirements:
· A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field is required.
· At least three years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment as a safety manager, safety officer, or similar role.
· Certification in occupational health and safety, such as OSHA, IOSH, or NEBOSH.
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
· Ability to conduct risk assessments, inspections, audits, and investigations.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
· Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.

Physical Requirements:
A typical 9-hour day includes reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, and carrying while working around power equipment and/or conveyor systems. To perform the duties of this job, the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50 lbs or more may be required.
