Position: Financial Analyst

Organizational Location: Finance Department

Reports To: Finance Manager

What The Role Is:

The primary responsibilities of the position require the employee to support Corporate Finance Managers in conducting analyses, financial reporting, and day-to-day projects and processes. The candidate must be technically proficient and able to learn tools like Excel, Power BI, Oracle and other analytical tools quickly. The position entails a great deal of ad hoc analysis and critical thinking, problem solving ability, flexibility, and adaptability are essential to the role’s success. The analyst will work on high impact projects on a daily basis. The position is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop professionally as it involves critical tasks and exposure to other business units as well as Cadence senior management.

How You Will Make An Impact:

The Financial Analyst will work directly with Cadence’s Corporate Finance Managers. Duties include:

Being highly involved in pulling data to support research and analyses Seeking information and buy-in from other lines of business Developing new financial reports and models Development of presentations to summarize data High volume of ad hoc or as needed analysis to address the concerns and needs of Cadence business lines and support units Time management, follow-up, business sense, and initiative will ensure success in this role Skills in financial planning and analysis are recommended Responsible for helping support the financial planning/budget and forecasting processes for the bank Help develop outlooks, forecasts and annual plans as required to support the bank’s operating goals Perform variance analysis of actual and planned results Assist with preparation of monthly financial packages

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s Degree from accredited 4 year institution in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science or related field 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis; Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn quickly, including critical functions such as V-LOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Table, etc. Strong analytical capabilities using data tools to compile, analyze and manipulate data from various internal and external sources Basic knowledge of financial planning and analysis highly desired (bonus points for FP&A tied to financial institutions) Project management skills Presentation building in Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Google Sheets Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Time management
