Responsibilities
Responsible for one or more areas of accounting such as Project Accounting, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the Company’s financial reporting and general ledger structure
Support and contribute to timely reporting of all monthly financial/accounting information
Support and contribute in accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close process
Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to other staff members
Support and contribute to development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
Support Director of Accounting and Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements
Work with Engineering Project Managers to monitor budgets on projects
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
0-2+ years’ experience in project accounting
Experience in an engineering, architectural or project based environment a plus
Experience with Deltek ERP/Project Management systems or other project management software
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and advanced functions
Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite products
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to identify, research, and propose resolutions for issues, problems, or new accounting requirements
Ability to work independently and learn quickly
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
