About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Scientist. You will be looking to leverage your solid healthcare experience and growing technical skills to help us continue to grow our nationally-recognized ACO. This role will report to the Strategy Data Scientist and is available for remote work.

What You'll Do:

Design and build reporting solutions to inform business decisions, drive operations, measure performance, and suggest actionable next steps. Partner with operations and clinical teams to ensure analytic insights are delivered on time and are useful Develop and maintain data infrastructure, reports and processes that increase efficiency and streamline reporting Partner with teams from across our organization (Operations, Analytics, Corporate Development, Business Development) to execute projects, build workflows, and create processes that will allow our business to grow and scale Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on time-sensitive and strategic operational improvement projects Provide input and contribute to strategic thought on partnerships with external stakeholders and vendors Keep abreast of new developments in healthcare reporting and data protocols.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree 2+ years’ experience in healthcare data analytics or related fields 3+ years experience in delivering actionable insights from data Proficiency with SQL or Python and ability to write clear, reproducible code. May be much stronger in one than in the other. Introductory knowledge of Spark or PySpark, and willingness to learn more. Ability to independently pursue and develop solutions to complex problems Effective communication skills Extensive experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, etc. Exposure to standard clinical measures and taxonomies from multiple sources (HEDIS, HCPCS/CPT codes, HCCs, CCS, etc). Strong familiarity with healthcare claims data, and the ability to figure out when the numbers don’t seem correct. Scrappy, eager, positive team player with no ego Strong comfort with working in a fast-paced environment An authentic passion for improving the lives of underserved patients and advancing value-based care

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position is remotely based in the U.S. The hiring manager for this role sits in the Eastern Time Zone, while many of the business partners work on Pacific Time. The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $100,000 to $110,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
