Description

As the Sawcut Laborer you will be responsible for operation on site to ensure proper cleaning, prepping, and helping with sawcut activities.Must be able to assist others and ensure proper cuts are met in a clean, professional, and safe manner. As the laborer on site, you will be required to work with blowers, brooms, shovels, scrapers and a variety of other hand tools to ensure a clean cut. Employees in this trade will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions on pavement surfaces and will be required to work weekends and/or nights. Must be willing to learn and adapt to different techniques to ensure quality work. Must have a Valid Driver License with at least two year of driving history.

Duties, Skills, and Responsibilities:

• All employees are required to work safely and report any injury immediately
• Must be able to keep record of time and attendance of crew and submit to supervisor on a daily

• Ensure all materials are on truck/trailer prior to leaving to jobsite
• Check-in and out any power tools as needed
• Responsible for any tools assigned to them
• Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and machinery
• Clean and prep area to cut
• Able to use blowers, broom, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other hand tools need to complete job

• Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, and organized job site
• Assist wiith traffic control devices
• Any other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• One year of experience preferred but not required

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, managers and customers
• Ability to produce quality work
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, or irregular hours that will be required based on schedule
• Reliable transportation to yard in order to pick-up company vehicle and equipment prior to meeting team at jobsite

• Must be able to provide legal right to work in the U.S. as BBAC participates in E-Verify
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Possess a valid driver's license with two years of driving history
• Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus

• Ability to lift 50 (+ -) pounds or be able to ask for assistance
• Ability to twist, turn and bend continuously
• Ability to push, pull and carry objects
• Ability to shovel using hands, arms and legs to complete task
• Ability to carry small to large tools in and around jobsite

• Ability to perform small, detailed tasks

Work environment:

• Exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles such as dust, dirt, fumes, etc

• Ability to work in an external environment and under many weather conditions such as frigid cold, and exposure to vibration and/or loud noise
• Will be exposed to working in and around heavy equipment in motion, must?be continuously alert to the equipment operators moving in and around job site, both by BBAC and other trades that may be present
• Employer will provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed, but will be the responsibility of the employee to dress appropriately for the weather conditions and must be able to provide safety toed boats
