Established best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process to operate in and efficient and effective manner. The Senior Associate will collaborate closely with Controlling Team to assist in projects variance analysis, maintain a high quality, deliverable- focused culture within the team, and continuously improve the efficiency of the accounting and reporting processes. Responsibilities:Perform various month end close duties, including preparing standard and miscellaneous journal entries, preparing balances sheet accounts reconciliation and roll forward schedulesPrepare monthly/quarterly US GAAP financial statements for review by FR teamProvide ad hoc analysis as needed for internal customers and assist in special projectsPrepare responses to accounting related inquiries both internal and external auditorsEstablish best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process in order to operate in an efficient and effective mannerQualifications:Bachelor’s degree, Accounting CPA license preferredMinimum 5 years of relevant work in the energy industry or related fieldFamiliar with IFRS and US GAAP Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferredStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationshipsDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables spaceExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and TeamsStrong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlinesStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverablesAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a teamMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgroundsResponds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachableIs detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business conceptsThis position is hybridBenefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
