Position Summary

The Consumer Loan Processor reviews loan packages and prepares loan documentation based upon information submitted from front line lending staff.Ensures loan documents are accurate, in compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements, and security documents will ensure lien perfection while meeting deadlines in production environments for consumer loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist supervisor with pre-closing review of loan packages submitted for closing documents.
  2. Review loan requests to ensure accurate documentation/information has been received and uploaded in loan origination system.
  3. Type loan using Lasor Pro System.
  4. Review closing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Understand and recognize when exceptions to bank policy and procedures are present.
  6. Prepare loan documents based upon approval and ensure all regulatory and state requirements have been met.
  7. Communicate with Loan officers to gather information to process the loan and fund the loan.
  8. Communicate with all departments within the bank if need to process the loan.
  9. Coordinate with Loan Officer on loan closings.
  10. Fund loan proceeds by wire or check.
  11. Interact with lenders and assistants to provide exceptional customer service.
  12. Complete any training provided by the bank.
  13. Adhere to BSA/AML policy and all other bank policies.
  14. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a bank or other financial institution working in a loan production environment or other position related to loans.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending, loan documentation, lien documentation, as well as state and federal compliance and lending regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and innovatively as part of a team.
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Laser Pro preferred.
