Job Description The Senior Freight Rail Project Manager - Civil/Track Design is a key position that will be based in Omaha, Nebraska and will report into the US West Region Rail Group. This person will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of exciting freight rail design projects with the AECOM rail group with a focus on supporting and growing our Class I, short line and industrial clients. The AECOM office provides upward mobility, opportunities for growth and leadership. Job Responsibilities Serve as an AECOM senior project manager on rail projects from planning, preliminary engineering, and final design. Accountable for developing project scope, budget and schedule and lead client contract negotiations. Coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others team members as well as support business development. Provide leadership and mentorship to subordinate managers and technical engineering staff. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: BA/BS + ten (10) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Professional Engineering license in Nebraska (or ability to obtain) 8 years of relevant experience in rail design, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Proficient with OpenRoads/OpenRail or other BIM Software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/GeoPak) Ability to collaborate and coordinate with design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians Be detail-oriented Excellent communication and writing skill Additional Information Travel may be required for this position. Due to the nature of the involved project U.S. work-sponsorship is not available with this opportunity. Offered rate of compensation (Omaha, Neb.) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
