Your Mission

SADA is experiencing tremendous growth, and in particular has identified the need for a FinOps Financial Analyst dedicated to our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) practice. In joining our team, you will be a strategic business partner who provides financial guidance. You will give direction to business planning and help our Key Customers achieve their financial transformation goals.

In collaboration with Services team members key business stakeholders, the FinOps Financial Analyst will influence effective decision-making by building and examining financial models, forecasting business, identifying cost optimization opportunities, collaborating with technical and program staff, and assessing potential changes to program plans.

This role will drive comprehensive financial planning, reporting, cost optimization, forecasting and analysis to drive business insight to support the Customer's strategic goals. Reporting to the Director of Advisory within the Services org, this person will be responsible for creating and managing years-long transformation program financial forecasts focused on migration activities and cloud consumption patterns of SADA customers, as well as providing financial models and forecasts, recommendations for financial wellness, and enablement to empower Customer employees. For some customers, this will include regular cadence meetings and presentations to C-Level executives and Board of Directors at large enterprises.

The FinOps Financial Analyst will ensure that SADA has the systems and tools in place to support the effective business analysis required. This role requires an empathetic, hands-on person who enjoys the difficulties and rewards of impacting financial performance and creating new capabilities within an organization.

Responsibilities:

Generate and present financial analysis of public cloud computing spend for customers Examine spend trends, opportunities for savings, and advise clients with specific recommendations for improvement Provide financial analysis of client's on-premise spend, (where appropriate based on the customer goals) translating it to cloud spend in a formal business case Perform examination of actual spend and progress of a customer's cloud environment compared to formal business case (where appropriate based on customer goals) Analysis may include projections for cost of tools, maintenance, depreciation/amortization, the impairment of assets, and labor efficiencies Be a FinOps advocate for SADA within Google, within SADA, and with existing or potential customers

Expectations

Required Travel - 10% or less travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events. Customer Facing - You will interact with customers on a regular basis. Common touchpoints occur during discovery and scoping of opportunities, at project kickoff, throughout the engagement, at project close, and other opportunities that drive value for the customer and in turn, for SADA. You can expect to interact with a range of customer stakeholders, including engineers, technical project managers, and executives. Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Job Requirements

Required Credentials:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Sciences, or Engineering, MBA a plus

Required Qualifications:

Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills Advanced SQL coding skills The ability to develop and present financial analysis of a client's spend and make related recommendations for improvement Experience presenting to senior management, including C-Level If not already proficient, the ability to develop a working understanding of the Google Cloud Platform and its pricing structure Systems power user and a high skill level in managing financial dataflows from various source systems for forecasting and reporting Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and internal Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets user

Useful Qualifications:

Prior knowledge of IT infrastructure (i.e. networking, compute, storage layers) a significant plus CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, or Cloudability experience not required, but a significant plus Existing knowledge and expertise in GCP a plus
